Since March 2003 the TSA agency works under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.King Downing consider the police check unreasonable, but on the other side, it proves that the anti-terrorist system works. And this mean that flights became more safe. After September 11. in 2001 it is a good news, I guess.The trend says flights are more safe and passengers don't need to be afraid of becoming victims of any other terrorist attacks. And I hope that passengers don't need to be afraid of being stopped by police due to their color of skin. However it was in the case of King Downing.
